Returning from the auto show I popped out of the Metro at Place de la Concorde and planned on walking the Champs-Élysées. Much to my surprise there was a Mirage fighter jet at the square. Actually, there were a several other airplanes or sections of airplanes near the intersection. As I continued towards the Arc de Triomphe, there were more airplanes and airplane parts (a landing gear, for example) plus a rocket.

It turned out the French were celebrating 100 years of French flight and aerospace … I can’t believe I missed this event!
