Hurricane Ike
With hurricane Ike on the way, I have relocated to Cancun. Why Cancun? Economically, it makes most sense: free place to stay, lower expenses and lots to do.
On the way to Mexico we had to head for Corpus Christi before turning south to avoid Ike. In this photo you can see hurricane Ike off the wingtip (it is several hundred miles away).
There was talk of Houston’s airports closing on Thursday evening or Friday morning so I rushed home and secured my place as best as I could: art work came down and went into safe storage along with my photos, new TV, stereo and a few other electronics. I then turned my attention to packing something to hold me over for a few days. I did all this in less than an hour. I am sure I forgot to bring something.
